Andrea Gasparella

Andrea Gasparella is currently Full Professor in Building Physics and Building Energy Systems and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, where he teaches courses on heat and mass transfer, high performance buildings, and energy efficiency part of the study programs of the bachelor’s in industrial mechanical engineering, the Master Degree in Energy Engineering, and the PhD in Sustainable Energy and Technologies. He is also Director-at-large of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) and the current President of IBPSA-Italy. Starting from the level of building and HVAC systems, his research field has extended to the analysis of the outdoor environmental context and to the study of indoor comfort conditions and interactions with the occupant. He is author of more than 400 publications in international and national scientific journals and conferences.
